There are some families that hold a special place in my heart—and this is definitely one of them. When I saw their name pop into my inbox after a few years, I actually squealed a little (yes, I really did!). It had been a while since we last did a session together, so I was beyond excited to reconnect and capture this sweet crew again.

This session took place during my summer field series, when the wildflowers were blooming and the sun was setting just perfectly behind the trees. The dainty white flowers were sprinkled across the field like confetti from nature—and we absolutely soaked in the beauty of the season.

But what made this session extra meaningful? Their oldest son is preparing to head off to college soon, so this session was all about freezing time for just a little bit. They wanted to soak in these last sweet moments of everyone still under one roof. Cue the emotion! 🥹

The entire family brought such an easy, genuine energy to the evening—smiles came naturally, laughter was abundant, and the connection between them was undeniable. We captured group shots, sibling portraits, individual photos, and even a few sweet couple shots of mom and dad (because YES, parents deserve the spotlight too!).

Sessions like this are what it’s all about—celebrating the love of a family, the seasons that shift too quickly, and the moments you never want to forget.
