Mini sessions will be held in Mocksville, Clemmons, or occasionally in Winston-Salem. As your photographer, I'll choose the location based on what works best for your session and let you know a few days before the shoot. I carefully select locations to ensure they look great for your photos, as some spots are more photogenic at certain times of the year. Lighting is key, so I want to make sure we’re shooting at a time when the location will have the best natural light. 

When preparing for your photography session, choose outfits that make you feel comfortable and confident. Neutral tones and soft colors often work best, as they complement the natural surroundings without drawing attention away from you. Avoid clothing with large logos or overly busy patterns, as they can distract from the main focus—you! If you're planning to include multiple people in the session, aim for coordinating outfits rather than matching ones for a cohesive look. Lastly, make sure everyone’s clothing is comfortable and weather-appropriate, especially for outdoor sessions.

Yes, absolutely! I love capturing pets as part of your family photos, and your dog can add a special touch to the session. Just be sure to bring any necessary items like a leash, treats, or toys to help keep them engaged and comfortable. If you're planning on taking some photos with your dog, we’ll work together to make sure everyone—pets included—feels at ease and looks great!  If you're set on having your dog in the session but aren't sure if they'll cooperate, a regular 30-minute session might be a better fit. The extra time will give us more flexibility to capture the perfect shots without feeling rushed.

You don’t need to bring anything unless you’d like to! I keep sessions simple and provide props like blankets for little ones, if needed. If you have a special blanket or prop you’d like to include, feel free to bring it along. And if you have any specific requests for props or poses, just let me know in advance—I’d be happy to accommodate if I can!

Super fast—like Jimmy John’s fast! But really, I typically ask for 7-10 days to deliver your online gallery via email. That said, I often get galleries to you even sooner, depending on the season.

If you need to cancel your session due to weather, illness, or an unexpected scheduling conflict, we’ll be happy to reschedule. Please note that your session payment is non-refundable, but it will be kept on file for 60 days, giving you time to reschedule.
