One of my favorite ways to give back to our local athletes is by creating lanyard photos for sports teams. These photos are something I offer for free to any sports team or organization that would like to use them as a fundraiser.
If you’ve been to a Friday night football game, you’ve probably noticed parents and grandparents proudly wearing lanyards around their necks. They aren’t just a keepsake—they’re useful!
When a player makes an amazing tackle, touchdown, or play, everyone wants to know: “Who was that?” A lanyard makes it easy to spot your player, and it’s a fun way to show your pride and support from the stands.
On the front of the lanyard is a professional photo of your athlete, and on the back is usually the team roster. It’s the perfect mix of practical and personal.
Lanyards aren’t just about team spirit—they’re also a great fundraiser for sports teams and organizations. Because the photos are provided at no cost to the team, selling lanyards gives programs a simple and effective way to raise money. Parents can also purchase additional prints or digital photos if they’d like.
Wearing your athlete’s photo is such a fun way to support them. Whether you’re cheering from the bleachers, carpooling to practice, or celebrating after the game, these lanyards are a little badge of pride that says: “That’s my kid!”
I love creating lanyard photos because they combine photography, team pride, and community support all in one. They’re keepsakes families treasure and a fundraiser that truly works.
