One of the most common questions I get from clients is,
"Do the photos come edited?"
And my answer is always—absolutely.
But what does that really mean?
Let’s take a look at this sweet photo of siblings walking hand in hand, surrounded by dreamy summer blooms. The image on the left is the straight-out-of-camera version, and the one on the right is the final, edited version that made it into their gallery.
Here’s a peek at the behind-the-scenes magic I apply to every session:
✅ Lighting & Exposure Adjustments
Even when the lighting is beautiful in real life, the camera doesn't always capture it exactly the way we see it. I fine-tuned the highlights and shadows to make the photo brighter and more balanced without washing it out.
✅ Color Enhancements
I enhanced the greens to feel rich but not overpowering, and gave the blooms that buttery-soft warmth that says "late summer glow." Skin tones were adjusted for a natural, sun-kissed feel.
✅ Subtle Retouching
I cleaned up a few distracting elements (like harsh shadows and uneven tones on the pavement) so the focus stays right where it should—on the connection between these two.
✅ Adding Depth & Softness
A gentle pop of contrast and a soft sun-kissed haze brought everything to life. This step adds that storytelling vibe that feels timeless and true.
Editing isn’t about changing reality—it’s about enhancing the beauty that’s already there.
My goal is to take what really happened in front of the lens and give it that extra polish so it feels just as magical as the moment was.
When you book a session with me, you’re not just getting someone to click a button. You’re getting an artist who sees the in-between, knows how to capture it, and brings it to life through thoughtful, intentional editing.
