There’s something truly magical about fall—especially here in North Carolina. The golden light, crisp air, and colorful leaves set the perfect backdrop for family photos. But the truth is… fall beauty is fleeting. And if you blink, you just might miss it.
Take this photo, for example.
On the left, you’ll see the straight-out-of-camera version. It’s a beautiful family in a stunning setting—but on the right? That’s where the edit really brings it to life. Warmer tones, richer color, and a little sun-kissed glow turn a good photo into a wall-worthy portrait.
This spot had caught my eye at the very end of October last year. I’m so glad I took advantage of it in early November because just a week or two later, the color was gone. The leaves had fallen, and the magic had passed.
🍁 Peak leaf color in North Carolina typically only lasts 3–4 weeks.
🍁 The window can shift each year depending on weather, but the sweet spot is generally mid-October to mid-November.
🍁 Waiting too long risks bare branches and chilly temps—and nobody wants that in their family photo!
If you want those golden leaves, cozy vibes, and the perfect blend of autumn color—it’s better to book now than wait. My schedule fills quickly for October and early November, and once the leaves are gone, they’re gone until next year.
📅 Grab your spot for a fall family session before they’re all gone!
