10 Things I’m Thankful For
Every morning, before the day really begins, I open a little notebook and write down ten things I’m thankful for.
It’s something I started this year, and it’s honestly changed so much for me. That small daily practice has helped me slow down, find peace, and notice the little joys that often go unseen — the quiet moments, the laughter, and the ordinary things that make life feel full.
So today, on Thanksgiving, I wanted to share my gratitude list with you — because you are such a big part of what I’m thankful for.
1️⃣ Letting Me Tell Your Story Through Photos
Every family, business, and individual I photograph has their own story. Letting me step into your world — even for a short session — is something I don’t take lightly. You’ve trusted me to capture moments that matter, and I’m endlessly thankful for that honor.
2️⃣ Following Along on Social Media
Each like, comment, message, and share means more than you know. You might not realize how much it brightens my day to see familiar names pop up supporting my posts. You’ve built this amazing little online community that keeps me inspired and connected.
3️⃣ Reading My Blogs and Emails Each Week
I love writing just as much as I love photographing, and knowing that people actually read what I write? That’s such a gift. Thank you for showing up here — for being curious, reflective, and willing to connect beyond just the photos.
4️⃣ Sharing My Work with Your Friends and Family
Word-of-mouth referrals are the heartbeat of my business. Every time you tell a friend about M.Gioeli Photography, I feel it. You’re helping me grow a business that supports my family and fulfills my purpose. That support truly means everything.
5️⃣ Laughing With Me (or at Me — I’m Okay With That Too!)
Whether it’s during a mini session when I’m making silly faces to get kids to laugh, or laughing together about real-life moments on social media, that shared joy reminds me why I love this work. Those lighthearted moments stick with me long after the session ends.
6️⃣ Cheering Me On, in Business and in Life
So many of you send the kindest messages, celebrate milestones, or simply check in — and it means the world. Your encouragement gives me energy when I need it most, especially during the busy seasons when I’m juggling family, editing, and life.
7️⃣ Celebrating My Kids and Husband Right Alongside Me
You’ve watched my boys grow, seen glimpses of our family adventures, and often cheer them on like they’re your own. It means so much to know that my clients don’t just support my business — they support us. That’s something I’ll never stop being grateful for.
8️⃣ Trusting Me to Capture Your Memories
From newborn sessions to senior photos to yearly family updates — that trust is the foundation of what I do. I know what it means to let someone capture your real, vulnerable, in-between moments, and I never take that responsibility for granted.
9️⃣ Supporting This Dream of Mine in Ways Big and Small
Whether you’ve booked a session, shared a post, joined my email list, or even just sent a kind word — every act of support helps me keep doing what I love. You’ve helped turn a dream into a business, and a business into a community.
🔟 Simply Being Here — It Means More Than You Know
Even if we’ve never met in person, your presence matters. You’re part of this story — part of the reason I keep creating, writing, and showing up. Thank you for being here, for being part of this journey, and for reminding me daily why gratitude matters so much.
From My Heart to Yours
Wishing you and your family a Thanksgiving full of warmth, laughter, and gratitude.
Thank you for being part of my story this year — and for allowing me to be part of yours.
🤎 With love,
Megan
