There are some families that I get the privilege of photographing year after year — and this sweet group is definitely one of them. It’s hard to believe how many seasons we’ve shared together behind the camera… from spring tulip sessions, to summer flower fields, to fall foliage at Salem Lake, and even magical Santa photos. Watching their kids grow and seeing their personalities shine a little more every year is truly one of my favorite parts of being a photographer.
This session at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, NC felt like the perfect way to wrap up another year with them. The fall color showed off in a big way — that golden tree in the background looked like it was made just for this family. We got a mix of full-family portraits, sibling group photos, and individuals of each kid, and as always, the love they have for one another came through naturally and effortlessly.
One thing I adore about this family is that they never need prompting to be warm and connected — they just are. Whether it’s big kids helping little siblings, contagious smiles, or the way Mom and Dad look at their kids with so much pride… every year their gallery tells the story of who they are right now. And the best part? We get to do it again and again as the years go on.
There’s something incredibly special about having photos taken consistently over time. Kids grow, seasons change, hairstyles come and go — and before we know it, a whole era has passed.
This family is a beautiful reminder of how powerful it is to pause and capture the stage of life you’re in — not because everything is perfect, but because it matters.
I’m so grateful I get to photograph this family every year, and I’m already looking forward to what our next session brings in 2026 — maybe spring tulips again… or summer flowers… or maybe something brand-new we haven’t tried yet. Wherever we land, I know the photos will be beautiful because the relationship and joy they share is what makes every session magic.
If you’re ready to start making yearly photos a priority — without stress or guesswork — make sure you’re on my email list so you can be first to get on my calendar for 2026.
Here’s to another year of capturing families and seasons — and freezing the moments we never want to forget. 💛
