It’s hard to believe the Class of 2025 has graduated! I had the honor of photographing this senior during a quick cap and gown mini session right outside Davie High School, and let me just say—it was the perfect mix of pride, excitement, and a little senior swagger.
Cap and gown mini sessions are such a fun way to honor this huge milestone. Whether you’re mailing out graduation announcements or just want to document the moment before the big walk across the stage, these sessions are short, sweet, and full of personality.
This senior was headed to UNC Charlotte, so of course, we had to include the college pennant for a photo that says, “Next stop: college life!” We started in front of the DCHS sign—iconic for all Davie High grads—and took a mix of posed and candid shots that captured his excitement and sense of accomplishment.
What I love most about these sessions is how they freeze this exact moment in time. It’s more than just a cap and gown. It’s the culmination of years of work, late nights, friendships, sports, study halls—and the beginning of a brand new chapter.
If you have a rising senior, now is the perfect time to schedule your session! I offer full senior portrait sessions as well as quick cap and gown minis at Davie High and other local schools in Mocksville, Clemmons, and Winston-Salem.
Let’s celebrate the journey, the future, and everything in between.
