Some sessions are extra special—and this one is definitely close to my heart. These two precious baby boys belong to my best friend since middle school, and getting to photograph their first days at home was a memory I’ll cherish forever.

We did their session right in their cozy home in Jamestown, NC. I brought my camera and heart full of excitement, but everything else we used came straight from their space—swaddles they already had, meaningful blankets, and the comfort of their nursery. That’s the beauty of lifestyle newborn photography. It’s simple, honest, and focused on your baby just as they are—in the place you’ll make your sweetest memories.

No big props. No stiff poses. Just real life, real love, and really beautiful moments.

Their woodland-themed nursery made the perfect backdrop, with greens and neutrals that complemented the boys’ swaddles and tiny onesies. I couldn’t get over how peaceful they looked snuggled side by side—already showing just how strong the bond between twins can be. Mom and Dad were glowing with love (and just the right amount of that new-parent tiredness we all know so well). Watching them hold their boys—one in each arm—was such a full-circle moment after years of friendship and life milestones together.
