What a week! It was one of those beautiful blends of business, parenting, and making space for the things (and people) that matter most.
Monday kicked off with some amazing local energy at the GoalGetters meeting at Maddie Cakes in Advance, NC. Nothing like starting the week surrounded by inspiring women and good conversation (plus cupcakes—bonus!).
Tuesday was all about my son and the Davie High School Band Awards. I'm SO proud of him—he helped form a quartet and had a solo in a jazz band piece. Watching him step into his gifts is something special.
Wednesday was a little quieter, but equally important: self-care day! I had a much-needed massage and a fresh nail appointment. It felt good to slow down and pour into myself.
Thursday brought friendship, photography, and a whole lot of fun. I met a friend at Old Salem, grabbed a coffee at Lot 68, and we wandered through the historic streets chatting about photography and snapping headshots of each other. That afternoon was packed with my son’s dodgeball tournament followed by his final flag football game at the YMCA. Talk about a full day!
Friday...honestly? It flew by. I’m pretty sure I worked (right?). Some days are just a blur and that’s okay.
Saturday was a sweet one—literally! Maxden and I headed to Cherry Hill Farm for strawberry picking during a fun event hosted by Molly Myers. That evening, we cuddled up under the stars to watch Lilo & Stitch outdoors in Winston-Salem. It was magical.
Sunday was a family win—my husband scored a “new-to-us” outdoor sectional and we got it cleaned, set up, and ready for all the summer evenings ahead.
