This past week was one of those beautiful blends of everyday moments, business highlights, and a weekend getaway that filled my heart and soul. Here's a little recap of what life looked like lately:
Monday kicked off with one of our favorite family traditions—football equipment handout! My son couldn’t wait to reunite with teammates, see his coaches, and meet the new players joining the team. There’s something so special about the energy of a new season beginning, and this night always sets the tone.
On Tuesday, I had the chance to work with two amazing local businesses in Winston-Salem: PACU and Green Iris Esthetics. I love capturing branding imagery that helps local business owners shine online! That evening, my youngest had his first unofficial football practice, and let me tell you—he was pumped!
Wednesday was full of connection and creativity. I had several calls for our upcoming Let’s Go Retreat (I’m so excited to meet the women joining us!). Later that day, Maxden and I had a fun afternoon at Dave & Buster’s—insider tip: games are half-price on Wednesdays! That evening, I squeezed in two headshot mini sessions in downtown Winston-Salem.
On Thursday, it was more retreat planning (we’re finalizing so many exciting details!), followed by another round of football practice. The energy of a new sports season and a new business season at the same time? I’m here for it.
Friday was all about soaking in the last bits of summer break. We met up with friends at the Tanglewood Park Pool in Clemmons, NC, and spent the afternoon relaxing and having fun. That evening, I dusted off the suitcase again to pack for a weekend getaway with my husband.
Saturday and Sunday were a dream! We explored the historic charm of Charleston, SC, touring the city, trying incredible food, and enjoying quality time together. Highlights included dinner at Hall’s Chophouse (yes, it’s as good as they say!) and an unforgettable night at the Dueling Piano Bar. From sunsets on the water to palm-lined streets, Charleston totally won our hearts.
Take a peek at the highlights below—from branding shoots and pool time to the charm of Charleston.
