There are so many reasons I love photographing families at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, NC, and this session is the perfect example of why. This beautiful family of four met me on a glowing fall morning, and the park gave us the most perfect variety of backgrounds to capture their personalities, connections, and all those sweet little moments.

One of my favorite things about Tanglewood is just how much it offers—lush greenery, charming brick paths, colorful foliage, big open lawns, pockets of shade, and the dreamiest golden light filtering through the trees. With regular and full sessions, we have the flexibility to wander and explore multiple areas, allowing for a wide variety of looks and scenery in one session.

That flexibility is especially helpful for families with young children. Little ones sometimes need extra time—time to settle in, warm up, regroup, or take breaks—and longer sessions give us the space to work at their pace. This session flowed beautifully, and we captured everything from sweet cuddles to snuggly sibling moments to those big family smiles that come so naturally when everyone has time and space to breathe.

This family absolutely shined in the fall colors, and their connection was so easy to photograph. From big sister’s tender kisses to baby brother’s wide-eyed curiosity and the parents’ joyful expressions, every moment felt both relaxed and full of love.
